Safety & Child Protection Policy (CSAE Standards)
Last updated 4 July 2026
He & Me is a strictly adults-only (18+) dating and social app for LGBTQ+ people in India, operated by [OPERATOR_NAME]. We have zero tolerance for minors on the platform and for Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE), including any Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). This policy sets out our standards, prohibitions, and how we act on them, in line with Google Play's Child Safety Standards and Indian law.
1. Our standards
- Adults only. Users must be 18 or older. We collect date of birth / age at sign-up and remove any account we believe belongs to a minor.
- Content moderation. Reported or suspicious content and accounts are reviewed by our moderation team.
- Immediate action. Any CSAE content or behaviour is removed immediately and the account is permanently banned.
- Authority cooperation. Serious violations are reported to the appropriate authorities (see §4).
- In-app reporting. Every profile and chat can be reported in-app via Report and Block, or by emailing our Child Safety Officer.
2. Strictly prohibited
- Sharing, uploading, requesting, or distributing any media that depicts CSAE/CSAM.
- Grooming, soliciting, or communicating with a minor for sexual purposes.
- Any interaction between an adult and a minor that could lead to exploitation.
- Any content that sexualises a minor — including fictional, morphed, AI-generated, or animated depictions.
- Using He & Me to facilitate CSAE activity or networks in any way.
- Creating an account if you are under 18, or helping anyone under 18 access the app.
3. What happens when CSAE is reported or detected
- Immediate removal of the offending content.
- Permanent ban of the offending account(s).
- Reporting to authorities — we report CSAE to relevant law enforcement and child-protection bodies (see §4).
- Evidence preservation — we preserve relevant data as permitted by law to support investigations.
4. Legal framework & reporting
We act in accordance with Indian law, including the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and Sections 67B of the Information Technology Act, 2000. We report CSAE to:
- India's National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) and/or local law enforcement;
- the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) where appropriate; and
- where applicable, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
