Community Guidelines

He & Me is a space for gay, bi and queer men in India to meet each other safely. For a lot of our members, simply being here carries real risk. These guidelines exist to protect everyone, and they are a plain-language summary of the rules in our Terms of Use. If the two ever differ, the Terms apply.

1. Be real

• One account per person, and it must be yours. No fake profiles, no catfishing, no pretending to be someone else.
• Your photos must be of you. Don't use photos of celebrities, friends or strangers.
• Be honest about your age. He & Me is strictly 18+.

2. Protect each other's privacy

• Never out anyone. Don't share, screenshot, forward or threaten to share someone's profile, photos, chats or identity outside He & Me.
• Don't ask for, or post, anyone's home address, workplace, phone number or other identifying details without their consent.
• Respect "no". If someone stops replying, blocks you or asks you to stop, stop.

3. Respect, always

• No harassment, threats, stalking, bullying or hate speech — including about caste, religion, region, skin colour, body type, age, HIV status, gender identity or how "masculine" or "feminine" someone is.
• Preferences are fine; putting other people down for them is not.

4. Keep it consensual

• Only send explicit photos to someone who has clearly said they want them.
• Never share intimate images of anyone without their consent. This is a serious crime in India and gets you permanently banned.
• Nothing involving anyone under 18, ever — including drawings, morphed or AI-generated images. See our Safety & Child Protection Policy.

5. No scams, no selling

• Never ask other members for money, gifts, investments or financial details.
• No escort services, sex work solicitation, spam, advertising or promotions.
• No blackmail or extortion. If someone threatens you, report them in the app and contact the police. You are not alone.

6. Meeting in person

• Meet in a public place first, and tell a friend you trust where you will be.
• Arrange your own travel, and don't share your live location with someone you've just met.
• If something feels off, leave. Report anyone who made you feel unsafe.

7. How we enforce these guidelines

Every profile and chat has Block and Report. Blocking hides you from each other immediately, and reports are reviewed by our moderation team. Depending on how serious the violation is, we may warn, remove content, suspend or permanently ban an account, and report it to the authorities where the law requires it.
